The Scotiabank AIDS WALK FOR LIFE is happening in a city near you from September 12-20, 2009. It may not be too late to hop on the bandwagon of this very important awareness and fundraising event!

According to the event website:

"To date, more than half a million Canadians have participated in the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life from coast to coast to coast. Together, these Canadians have raised close to $28 million to support programs and services for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS in their communities."

This year's Bow Valley Servers Against AIDS Day (on July 25th) was another successful endeavour with 24 restaurants and 110 servers participating (not to forget how many of their customers participated without doing a thing!) While we had fewer establishments take part in the event, the planning was much simpler and effective this year. No doubt next year's event will be successful as well.

In total the event raised $3347.74 and $1500.00 went to The Stephen Lewis Foundation.
